Thinking about moving to Porto?
Porto is one of the most popular cities in the world for expats, nomads, and tourists. With its scenic views, traditional architecture, warm weather, welcoming people, and walkable size, Porto is a great place to explore and an even better place to call home!
While there are tons of tours for tourists to pick from, they only cover the most famous sightseeing spots in the city. People who are visiting Porto and considering living there in the near future will find it difficult to get a genuine sense of what it’s actually like to live in the city. Wouldn’t you prefer to learn what it’s really like to live in Porto from an expat who’s already spent years getting to know the ins and outs of the city?

I was on a trip to Porto to find out a bit more about what it’s like to live in the city so I booked this experience with David. As I had only a basic understanding of the layout of Porto, David’s know-how of the areas was really enlightening. He also shared some tips on things to consider about moving to Portugal that I think will save me some headaches if I decide to move here. I thought the tour was great value and a smart idea for anyone considering moving to Porto or Portugal.

Moving to a new city (or just considering it) is daunting and talking to a knowledgeable expat who has lived there for years can make all the difference. David took us on a walk through Porto that gave us a much clearer picture of how different parts of Porto work and what life would be like there. We got to ask all our questions and received a lot of good advice in return. Highly recommended!

Very enjoyable experience. It’s an insider’s view of what it’s like to move to and live in Porto as a foreigner, which is enormously helpful. It’s a great starting point to get a sense of the city and I feel it gave me some realistic expectations on living here. David’s a super nice guy, too.
