What problems did you have before working with Expat Empire?

Before, I was at a stand-still on how and where to start looking for an employer-sponsored visa position. When I lived in Australia years ago, I didn’t need to worry about working then, so I was overwhelmed with all the moving parts I knew I didn’t know! My particular life circumstances mean I am not a “cookie-cutter” future expat. Being a tenured worker and having a retired service dog, along with several other unique factors, meant all the information I had seen previously online really didn’t apply to answer MY questions. I didn’t know where else to look for information I could trust. The idea that I was overlooking or missing a big piece of critical (legal and social) knowledge was always at the back of my mind.

What did it feel like as you tried to solve those problems?

I was ready to give up and call it a pipe dream that I could never successfully pursue. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I had waited so long in life, only to think my hopes of ever making this move were slipping away.

What was different about working with Expat Empire?

David took the time to really understand all of my individual worries and needs as I considered how I could pursue this career path. He asked great questions to get to the key information he needed so he could provide relevant information. Not only did he provide the core data and details as promised, but he showed me how it might actually be possible to make this happen after all!

What does your life look like now that you have worked with Expat Empire?

It will still take a while to get everything moving in the right direction, but now I’m fully informed and have the foundational tools I need to be successful – if only I can time the job market right. I don’t have to worry if I’ve discovered everything I need to have for Australia’s working visas; David pulled all relevant resources together for me so I can ensure I’ve “checked all the boxes” and make progress toward landing my dream job and getting where I want to work and live! I’m really excited at how everything might pull together for me in the very near future!
